Want a paid role that fits around your studies? At the Guild, students don’t just support what we do, they shape it. From reception staff to content creators, data crunchers, EDI consultants and student reps, we employ over 70 students in a whole range of roles and teams.
As an Advice Assistant, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting students through meaningful work that enhances their university journey. This paid opportunity offers hands-on experience in student support, administration, and collaborative project work.

Our volunteering roles give you the chance to do all of that - from representing your course or department to leading a society or running events.
Whether you're speaking up for students or bringing people together, you’ll play a key role in making the student experience better for everyone.
Academic Reps ensure the voices of their local academic community are heard, listened to, and acted upon.
Be the senior student representative for your department! Work with other students representatives (including Officers) and staff at the Guild and University to ensure that we are effectively representing you, and promote solutions that will encourage positive change to the student experience.
At the Guild, what you do doesn’t sit behind the scenes, it shapes student experiences every day. From the support students receive to the communities they build, your work helps make Exeter a place students love being part of.
