From November 16 – December 16 we’re celebrating Disability History Month, a time when we can recognise and support our community of students with disabilities.
We’ve got lots of events open to everyone, from craft sessions to film screenings, and lots more to come too!
There are 14 million disabled people in the UK, 1 in 5 people. This month we want to highlight how many impairments and conditions are not “obvious” or visible.
Head to our webpage to find our recommended reading and watching lists, ways to connect with our student groups and some resources on how to apply for Disabled Students Allowance.
If you’ve got any experiences about living and studying with a disability (on or off campus), we would love to hear about them. Find out more about creating some content this month.
