Employability
The Guild
From reception staff, to content creators, data crunchers and student reps, we employ over 70 students in a whole host of roles throughout the organisation. We might be biased, but the Guild is a great place to work, meet new people and develop skills to prepare you for life after Uni.
What can the Guild offer?
Flexibility – your studies have to come first, so we ensure you are able to fit your shifts around lectures, seminars and important Uni deadlines
Great pay – we pay the national living wage at £12.22 per hour, more than a lot of casual employers in Exeter
Skills development - with so much going on and a range of skillsets throughout the organisation, student staff have the opportunity to get involved in a number of different projects, tasks and events.
What’s it like to work at the Guild?
The staff have all been very welcoming from the start and have allowed me to have a flexible working schedule so I can attend all of my lectures and seminars whilst also keeping up with all my coursework. It's helped me to improve my time management skills as well as developed my skills in marketing and communication.
