We have over 300 Societies here at Exeter, including Societies that are focused on creating a community for Black students:
African and Carribean Society
University of Exeter's growing African & Caribbean Society aims to bring students from diverse backgrounds together to celebrate and promote African and Caribbean culture in all of its forms.
Students of Color Association
At the University of Exeter, we welcome students from all cultures and backgrounds. Our mission is to foster cultural exchange, support both your academic and personal growth, and ensure our voices are respected within the university and beyond.
Multicultural Society
We are a Society for students who identify themselves with multiple cultures, and who often struggle to formulate an answer to where they’re from. We are a blend of our parents’ culture(s), the culture(s) of where we lived, and the wider international community’s culture.

There are lots of ways that you can become a better ally and educate yourself on the breadth of the Black experience. It is also important to look within yourself and challenge any assumptions, attitudes or beliefs you may have, and bring the unconscious biases to light.
