PGCE Funding

Students taking a PGCE will have to fund their tuition fees and their living costs. Details of the University’s tuition fees for PGCE study can be found here, alongside their advice on funding your teacher training, and details of their bursaries for students from households with low incomes.

In essence, for UK students undertaking a PGCE, student finance is provided by the Government following the process for undergraduate student finance. Although a PGCE is a postgraduate qualification, it is funded in this way, rather than by a Masters Loan which would be unlikely to include sufficient funding for any meaningful contribution to living costs.
