Societies Fairs

"This week we've got over 250 societies covering a whole range of interests for you to explore. Each day will feature different societies, so I encourage you to attend multiple sessions to discover all your options!" ~India, Societies and Employability Officer

MONDAY- Academic Fair

Get Ticket

Time: 10:00 to 16:00, with 10:00-11:00 being a quiet accessible hour

Location: The Great Hall, Streatham

You’ll be able to meet your academic societies, meet fellow coursemates and meet the different support services available to you whilst at University.

You can attend anytime during the day; the stalls will be there all day! You can chat to societies and see which ones you’d like to join! They’ll have more information on their stalls about how to get involved, events and activities they run, and how to join.

Interested in joining a society? Membership sales are open from 9 September; all you need to do is head to my.exeterguild.com to purchase and then you’re officially a member of that society! You can filter by category to quickly find all the academic and course-related societies.  

If you want to try out some before you officially join, many societies have tasters during the first few weeks so you can see what they’re all about.  

The venue has wheelchair access via the lift between the Sanctuary and Ram Bar. There is an accessible toilet opposite the Sanctuary, a gender-neutral toilet in the Forum, a designated quiet space in Exehale and the Greenhouse (in Devonshire House), general car parking, and blue badge parking available nearby.

TUESDAY- Find your Passion Fair

Location: The Great Hall & Terrace, Streatham

This fair will exhibit societies focused on hobbies, appreciation, campaigns, fundraising, creative, gaming, media, music, political, theatre and performance.

We have two exciting fairs taking place on Wednesday, we’re talking all groups focused on keeping you healthy and fit! In the Great Hall and Terrace will be the University’s Sports Clubs and, in the Forum, we’ll have all our active societies.

There are 52 sports clubs at the University of Exeter, offering everything from social and beginner sport to supporting elite athletes and international pathways. Take a look at the full list of clubs and membership options.

THURSDAY- St Luke’s Fair

Location: St Luke's Campus, Exeter

You’ll be able to meet your academic societies, meet fellow coursemates and meet the different support services available to you whilst at University! We have a range of stall holders waiting to meet you and tell you about what they do as well as some fun games and activities on the quad you can enjoy.
