Winter Break 2024: Information, Events and Support

Term might have finished, but there are still plenty of events going on in Exeter. We’re still here for you throughout the break with information, events and places you can reach out to for support.

If you’re travelling, safe travels and we look forward to welcoming you back to Exeter in 2025!

 

Guild and University opening hours:

A reminder that the Guild will be closed from Friday 20 December, open again on Thursday 2 January.

Guild Reception will be closed from Friday 13 December, open again Monday 6 January.

Please be aware, Devonshire House will be closed for maintenance work from Monday 23 December until Thursday 2 January.

The Forum study spaces, and Forum Library remain open 24/7 as warm spaces. Want to see which outlets will be open? Check times here.

Christmas Dinner on Campus

If you’d like to join students and staff for Christmas Dinner, you can order a ticket here, but be quick, you have to sign up by 12:00 on Wednesday 18 December!

On Thursday 19 December from 17:30 there is a Christmas on the Quay event with late night shopping, live music and refreshments.

 

Wildwood Devon are hosting a Christmas Market on 21 and 22 December

Support over the Winter Break  

 

This can be a difficult time of year for many reasons, especially if you are worrying about being alone, or spending extended time with family members.  

 

StudentSpace provides 24/7 support and information to help you, and you can also access University Wellbeing Services, Samaritans and Shout if you need someone to talk to.  

 

Support in Exeter

The Estate Patrol Control Room is staffed 24/7 - this includes the Winter Break closure period. Estate Patrol Officers will be available to provide advice, direction and attend incidents as required.

The non-emergency telephone line is 01392 723999.

In cases of emergency, individuals should contact the emergency services on 999 and then contact the Estate Patrol through their emergency line on 01392 722222.

 

Don’t forget to use the Safe Zone app when on campus to connect you to Estate Patrol when you need them.
